I know, it's been a while, but I miss you lovely people and now seemed like a good time to reach out (like Rowan up there).

How's everyone doing?

Things here are chugging along, much as they ever do. My grandmother's house is up for auction today, I'm still trying to convince a certain well known bank to release money to my mum and uncle, I just ordered my first paperback proof of one of my own books, and I'm slowly being visited by various family members now that Lockdown is slowly easing (I'm near the beach, so of course they come to me).

I also have a nest box full of mason bee eggs, a ragwort covered in cinnamon moth caterpillars and an inquisitive blackbird that comes to visit every evening when I'm cleaning up the kitchen.

But enough of me, how are you all doing? Well, I hope.

Hello, my lovelies, and how be we? I know it's been a while, but I'm doing all the update things today so I thought I might stop by and check in with you all.

And also introduce the newest member of the furmily.

Rowan 1

This is Rowan. She's a Labrador X German Wirehaired Pointer. She's actually supposed to be my mum's dog, but mostly she's a new playmate for Bruin, because Mushu is 11 now and sometimes needs a break from the Crazy Collie. The same crazy collie who really, really didn't want a puppy in the house last Friday (because she was terrifying!). Thankfully a little separation and a lot of persistence wore him down, and now they're best buddies, getting ready to destroy all that's fluffy and wooden in the world.

And when they're not destroying the house/furniture/garden/world, they make excellent cuddlebugs, which has been just what I need this week as I rush to get another book out. Uff.

But enough of me and mine, how be you fine people?

So I've finally made the jump. Long past time, I know, but here I am!

Sadly, because I am a dubious genius, I managed to locked all my old LJ entries when I imported them (because I wanted to sort out links on Wingborn and Rift first) and now can't unlock them unless I want to go through all of them manually. Which I don't. I've just spent the last week deleting everything off LJ and getting constantly sidetracked into things I'd long forgotten.

Er... anyway. At some point soon, I shall update links and unlock Rift, but that's probably as far back as I'll bother to go. If there is something old that you would like to see again, feel free to let me know. I may, some day, in a fit of madness, decide to unlock a few old things myself, but for the moment this is how things will be.

But enough of all that, Hi, everyone! I hope you're doing well and that 2017 is treating you kindly *snugs*
